Proposal details

This proposal is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval (Sewage) for the establishment of subsurface disposal works to service the proposed redevelopment of the site from a main lodge and restaurant with 10 cabins and a 40 seat lake side patio restaurant to 12 two bedroom detached condos and a 40 seat lakeside patio restaurant located in the Township of Seguin.

The project involves the construction of a new 17,030 litres/day tertiary onsite septic system (previously approved) to service 12 proposed two bedroom detached condominiums. The septic treatment system consists of:

  • a trash tank
  • a flow balancing tank
  • a FAST 4.5 tertiary treatment unit
  • a dosing chamber
  • 352 square metre area bed

The sewage is collected by a low pressure sewage system with individual grinder pumps for each of the 12 units pumping the sewage through a forcemain to the trash tank.

Additionally, the 40 seat lakeside patio restaurant is to be serviced by two 3,000 litre filter beds. Each filter bed is serviced with a grinder pump pumping sewage to separate 3,000 litres/day filter bed systems with each filter bed having individual septic tanks.
