I support the Waterloo Region Official Plan Amendment 6, which all but one of its elected officials also support, and therefore want Bill 23 repealed. The Region can produce more housing within its Official Plan then the Province's Bill 23 can, yet still not encroach on the Greenbelt. Read more

Please approve Waterloo Region's Official Plan Amendment 6. Don’t try to fix what isn’t broken. Waterloo Region’s plan doesn’t need fixing. Don’t take powers away from conservation authorities. Please don’t build on floodplains. Any of these decisions would be reckless. Read more

Waterloo Region just passed an Official Plan after much discussion with the public. Many of us who live in this region believe that the current Official Plan is a good plan to help preserve farmland for future generation yet it also provides space for the building of a variety of housing.
