Re: Green Development Standards With green development standards new housing might be suitable without major retrofitting, for our future climate conditions. At the moment housing that is being currently built, is suitable for the past, but not for today, much less than 2050. Read more

There are many spaces where housing can be built without sacrificing the green belt Toronto has vacant apartments and townhouses and empty lots that have been vacant for many years that can be renovated into affordable housing

I strongly oppose Doug Ford's proposal to develop part of the Greenbelt. In 2018 the premier promised he wouldn't touch the Greenbelt. This backslide will be the end of his political reign in my opinion. It is a short-sighted policy when environmental concerns are a top priority. Read more

Increasing housing density is a worthy goal. However, this proposal is anti-democratic. Removing upper-tier approval of local plans sets back the planning system 30 years. Central control from Queen's Park or the Premier's Office is anti-democratic. Read more
