The earth is on fire and you want to pave over it! This proposal is unethical and unacceptable in a society that should be moving towards a greener way of living for the sake of future generations.
I am opposed to any land being removed from the greenbelt and always adding more to other protected areas. We cannot expand without thinking about future environmental and climate changes.

The goal of creating more and affordable housing in Ontario is a laudable one but the method by which the Government is seeking to accomplish this goal - Bill 23 - needs substantive revisions following meaningful consultation with municipalities and citizens.

Despite my agreement with the imperative to build housing, MMAH and the Provincial Government must publish stronger rationales for the 15 parcels of Greenbelt land being opened up for development.

Destroying our Greenbelt will have devastating and damaging effects to all aspects of Ontario and even the world. Without our forrest, swamps, fields, and beautiful wildlife everything would fall apart.

The green belt is protected for a reason. There is vast open land elsewhere to use for land and properties. Do not destroy the precious resources that millions would kill to have. Plus the use of buying the land from people who support the party is shady and proves this government is untrustworthy.
Under no circumstances must the dangerous precedent of a Greenbelt land swap occur. Two pieces of land are never identical in every respect and even an attempt to compare will fail to capture all the differences. It is important that ALL Greenbelt properties be preserved.

I am very unhappy that such a huge change with little or no public input, or municipal government input. The long term problems BIll 23 will create are staggering . Wet lands that protect us from flooding , protect our water sources are just a few of the reasons.

This is a misguided, if well-intentioned, attempt to get more houses built in Ontario. The result will be loss of valuable farmland, green space. Just as important is the type of housing that gets built is exactly the least helpful.

The green belt needs to be protected. The idea that parts can be taken from the established green belt and other parts added to make up for the loss is ridiculous. This government needs to maintain the existing areas of the green belt and protect sensitive ecosystems.

There are currently 1000s of hectares of undeveloped land located between the municipalities and the Green Belt which can be serviced for development sooner and at less cost than Green Belt lands.

The choice to remove restrictions and develop on the green belt sets a very bad precedent for protecting our valuable green space for future generations.

In May of 2015 our company made a submission to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs as input to the Greenbelt review that occurred at that time.

I believe the majority of Ontarians would wish the campaign promise to NOT develope the Greenbelt to be upheld. And if the land is now owned by party contributors, too bad. These lands were protected for a reason. Please consider more than the almighty dollar for once.
Although redesignation would be a good way to keep the same amount of green space in our lands my concern is with the eco systems that will be destroyed with the removal of 15 acres. How will those eco systems be restored and how will 15 acres be taken over with little disturbance.

I strongly believe Bill 23 is poorly conceived and the only stakeholders' opinions that are being considered are those of a handful of land developers who happen to donate heavily to political parties.
