Science shows 5 kilometers is a minimum safe distance from towns.
This 40 Yr Dormant Landfill which had ended its end of lilfe monitoring 20 yrs ago.

My home is 2.2 kms, by road to this site. As the crow flies, 1.1 kms.
Part of Bill 197 gives a municipality the right to reject "New" landfills that are up to 3.5 kms outside of their municipal boundaries.

I live within 1 km from the proposed landfill site. I’m very concerned about the environmental impact this will have on my community. I’m also concerned about the increased traffic from all the trucks it will take to operate such a site.
I grew up just outside of Dresden. I still have many ties to this community and visit just about every week. Many of my family and friends call this gem of a town home. The idea of this mega dump coming to our community and the town of Dresden is terrifying.
