Please do not pass this. It will allow developers to destroy natural areas like forests, fields, and wetlands, with very few consequences. Building homes is needed, but the UN says it can not be done at the cost of greenspace or wetlands. We need these natural areas as much as housing.

This is a horrible idea. We need proper planning and studies done before putting 4 huge apartment buildings on this small plot of land next to a highway on ramp. This will ruin our community. There are thousands of people living in the surrounding communities who oppose this. Read more

I believe that this proposal should be urgently approved. We are in a housing crisis in Ontario and housing of all types is needed. These buildings will provide crucial units to the region and will support renters and owners of all income brackets. Read more

It is irresponsible to add so many buildings and people to a space that already has subpar infrastructure. Quality of life in Woodbridge continues to decrease- shame on the mayor for trying to bypass process and not have assessments done - disgraceful.

This is an abomination of an idea. There is absolutely no urgent need for additional condos without the required infrastructure. Anyone who commutes in the area knows that adding thousands more people would create further chaos. Read more

Listen to the community and to the experts. Do not force developments that don’t make sense and that nobody wants. Support what is right. Correct what’s wrong. Voters deserve to be supported by those that were told they would support the community if they got elected. Voters won’t forget.

I am a resident of Vaughan (Weston Downs) and am strongly against the proposal without proper planning, transportation studies and public input being conducted. I am concerned with the impact this will have on our community.

Currently, the traffic in the area is extremely busy especially at Weston Road and Langstaff and having lived in the area for many years I think four 32+ storey apartment buildings is way too much and will make the congestion unbearable. Read more

I live nearby in Weston Downs and question why this proposal is not following the normal process and instead is being forced through quickly with an MZO. I am shocked that someone believes that this small parcel of land could support four 32 story residential buildings. Read more

I agree with the Region of York which opposes this proposal because "introducing new high density residential uses on a site-specific basis surrounded by employment uses would create an isolated community without close access to typical residential neighbourhood uses such as schools, community facil Read more
