This is a bad proposal that will make life in Toronto less safe and increase commute times. Cycling to work saves me 50% of my commute time, especially because of the bike lanes the city has installed. Read more

Bike lanes are an essential component of safe and sustainable transportation for the city of Toronto. Toronto residents should via the ballot box for city council be the ones to determine whether or not the existing infrastructure meets their current and future needs. Read more

I vehemently opposed the effort to remove existing bike lanes. There has been no evidence presented by the government that these bike lanes cause gridlock and in fact there's evidence that it helps traffic instead. Read more

While I can only speak to the Bloor street area, I support this bill. While I am not against the bike lanes as a concept, their implementation has not been logical. They didn’t consider the needs of the majority of the population that drives and have caused large amounts of congestion. Read more

I am a 76 year old, senior female living in a rental unit in downtown Toronto. When the city put in protected bike lanes, I started riding my bicycle again to and from various locations rather than driving my car. Read more

This is a huge violation and overreach into municipal jurisdiction. Please look at the data, don’t make rash decisions. Bike lanes are good for business, reduce traffic, and save lives. University Ave is well used by many doctors and nurses who work at hospitals downtown. Read more

This proposal, which claims to have as its goal, the reduction of “gridlock”, is based entirely on anti-cyclist sentiment and absolutely no facts. All studies show how extending bike lanes do not impede traffic, it’s so obviously the number of cars that do. Read more

I grew up on the Danforth without bike lanes and have been hit by cars because they would speed by with no space to pass. The bike lanes there and on Bloor saved my life and have saved countless others. Read more

This is petty, childish behaviour and you all know it. You are the provincial government and you have provincial issues to manage. Work on healthcare. Work on housing. Stop wasting everyone’s time and money with this bike lane nonsense.

The bike lanes that are now proposed to be torn up by wastefully spending all of Ontarians’ tax payer dollars, have seen dramatic increases in cyclists. On many days at rush hour, as many as several hundred cyclists have been counted on the bike lanes, adding up to several thousand in a day. Read more

I'm 45 years old. This is possibly the very stupidest bill that has ever been proposed in my lifetime. Imagine believing that municipalities are so incompetent that they can't manage their own road networks. Imagine being the premier and trying to micromanage the province one block at a time. Read more
