I am disappointed... no. Heartbroken to hear the Province of Ontario is planning to dump sewage into Ontario Place West Island where swimmers, rowers, paddlers and wildlife use this as an outlet in our urban setting. Read more

Pumping raw sewage into Lake Ontario seems like a very bad idea. Why is the provincial government skipping required environmental assessments, and the proper planning for this issue that was already in place with the municipal government.

I completely oppose this or any proposal that would have untreated sewage pouring into the lake, especially where there is such a high density of people. Proposals like this will compromise human health not to mention the animals. Read more

People of Toronto deserve better than this. This is not a critical infrastructure project, and the proponent needs to ensure that it's project does not dump untreated combine sewage or stromwater into the breakwater channel at anytime during the construction phase of its " Ontario Place" project.

As I understand it, this proposal calls for untreated sewage to be dumped into the west channel of Ontario Place. If so, it is absolutely unacceptable to do this for the sake of the environment and the users (both people and wildlife) of Lake Ontario near that location. Read more

Emptying the sewage of this spa into Lake Ontario will be horrible for the environment and our source of water. The quality of our drinking water will be affected. Wildlife will be affected. People can no longer enjoy the waterfront for swimming and rowing. Get an environmental assessment. Read more

Wilfully polluting Lake Ontario is just not on. The Therme Spa development has already caused too much damage, too much destruction. Therme must be tasked with either finding a non-polluting alternative to dumping sewage into the West Channel or shutting down its project.

I am very concerned about the discharge of overflow sewage into the Lake. In addition to creating risks to human beings using the lake, this kind of discharge can further damage the lake itself. We need to reduce the harm to Lake Ontario. We need another plan to manage the sewage. Read more

I do not approve of the discharging of sewer materials into the Lake Ontario, near the proposed Therme spa development because it jeopardizes the health of everything living in these waters, and of those using these waters as they often do for sporting events. Read more
