The internal channel is well used by boaters, swimmers and fishers. Kinga Surma’s and Doug Ford’s plan to redirect the combined sewer will make that waterway unusable for those people in addition to perpetuating the pollution of Lake Ontario. Read more

The proposed sewage outflow into the waters has to be most short-sighted and foolish idea, as it will affect the waterfront. Please do not use my tax money for this. If this was for Therme, then Therme must be cancelled to prevent this disaster.

The West Channel is used by swimmers, rowers and kayakers. It is also used by the CNE for waterskiing and other events. Emptying the combined sewer outlet into the West Channel of Lake Ontario will pollute the channel with bacteria and sewage. This approach is not environmentally responsible. Read more

we need to be REDUCING pollution untreated stormwater & sewage IS pollution The stormwater & sewer discharges need to be cleaned up PRIOR to discharge into the lake Bypassing treatment of these effluents is NOT acceptable it IS POLLUTION!

Please do not pollute the lake water inside the breakwater. Any proposal that pumps sewage into the West Channel and near the West Island at Ontario Place is unacceptable. The waterfront should be free of sewage and a place for everyone to enjoy swimming, paddleboarding, kayaking, etc.

I am commenting on the proposal for an interim combined sewer to support development at 955 Lake Shore Boulevard (Ontario Place). I am OPPOSED to this proposal. 1. It is rushed and does not integrate with longterm proposals for revising stormwater runoff into Lake Ontario. Read more
