I strongly oppose Bill 5 and the dismantling of the Endangered Species Act. There are so many problems with this proposal, including the new definition of habitat which doesn’t consider the wider territory that an animal needs for survival – to find food or a mate, for example. Read more

This bill is dangerous for our environment across Ontario. Protections are in place for a reason and no one should be able to override them. Ontario is well known for its beauty and biodiversity and it should stay that way. Wetlands and other fragile ecosystems should be more protected not less. Read more
