These MZOs would force extreme and reckless density on Midtown, more than double that of any comparable development in the GTA, without the infrastructure to support it; creating chaos and overwhelming transportation and services that are already overstressed, including local roads, transit, the GO Read more

These MZOs represent a profound override of local democracy despite Oakville’s full compliance with provincial policies and proven track record of growth and housing development. Read more

I urge the Town to reconsider this proposal and prioritize responsible, sustainable planning that balances growth with infrastructure capacity, environmental protection, and the well-being of existing residents. Thoughtful development—not overdevelopment—should guide Oakville’s future decisions. Read more

I strongly oppose the MZOs for Oakville. They are outrageous and scandalous. This TOC is not about delivering housing; it is about maximizing developer land value at the expense of livability, infrastructure capacity, and the public interest. Read more

As a concerned resident of Oakville, I view the proposed density that would be allowed by the Province in absolute disbelief that the Province would carte blanche allow totally inappropriate high-density development upon a town that does not want it. Read more

Uptown Oakville does not have the infrastructure to withstand the type of development proposed. The traffic at Cornwall and Trafalgar is already at capacity. With this being said no one is living in tiny condos in Toronto so why would anyone purchase small condos so far out from the city. Read more

Traffic would be a nightmare in Cornwall Trafalgar area. Ruin the unique quality of living in South Oakville. The apartments do not contain enough family accommodation

This Transit-Oriented Community (TOC) fails to comply with Premier Ford’s Build Homes Faster agenda and will not deliver a single home before 2031, the Province’s own housing deadline, and will take 25 years to complete. OPA70 is a better alternative and is ready to go. Read more
