The ministry has issued a new Environmental Compliance Approval (industrial sewage) to ISOLAB Inc. for the establishment of sewage works, in support of a proposed industrial laboratory building for the collection, transmission, treatment and disposal of stormwater run-off, located at 7582 Seventh Line West, in the Municipality of Chatham-Kent, ON.

An amended Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) with Limited Operational Flexibility was issued to EIDCA Specialty Products Company, a research and small scale manufacturing and polymer extrusion facility located in the City of Kingston, Ontario. The approval includes all emission sources from the facility.

This decision is for a renewal of Permit to Take Water No. 3228-84YLHZ. Permit to Take Water No. 2126-BWSQSS was issued on December 31, 2020 for a period of 10 years for the purpose of golf course irrigation. Water will be taken from the Mattagami River.

The permit expires on September 30, 2030.

This decision is for a renewal of Permit to Take Water No. 7030-B9ZS6X. Permit to Take Water No. 5168-BZ7RQB was issued on March 22, 2021 to 2079610 Ontario Ltd. operating as Millcroft Golf Club for the purpose of golf course irrigation in the City of Burlington, Ontario. The permit expires on April 30, 2023.

We approved a new Environmental Compliance Approval (private sewage) No. 0679-BYAU9S to 2492309 Ontario Limited for the establishment and use of a domestic wastewater treatment system at 607 Mersea Road 8, Leamington.

The Ministry of Transportation (MTO) implemented a five-year cargo e-bike pilot program as of March 1, 2021. Additionally, the e-bike redefinition proposal has been updated following analysis of feedback received and posted to the Environmental and Regulatory Registry for a 30-day comment period.

The Statements of Environmental Values of the former Ministries of Culture and Tourism have been replaced with a single Statement of Environmental Values for the Ministry of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Industries that reflects MHSTCI’s name, structure and mandate.
