Proposal details

This proposal is to amend Environmental Compliance Approval (air) No. 4718-972K9V issued to Gerdau Ameristeel Corporation, a manufacturer of steel products at a metals recycling facility located at 2025 River Road, London, Ontario.

This amendment is for:

  1. removal of the approved propane torching metal cutting process
  2. installation of two Landshark 2.0 industrial land-based evaporators (Landshark) for use at the onsite storm-water management pond to reduce accumulated water volumes in the pond

Contaminant emissions to the atmosphere include aerosols and metals like iron, potassium, sodium, and manganese, contained in the storm-water.
