Proposal details

The Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) is considering the issuance of a type “C” sawmill forest resource processing facility licence to authorize the construction and operation of a forest resource processing facility.

Under Ontario Regulation 167/95 under the Crown Forest Sustainability Act, a type “C” licence is issued for a sawmill with the capacity to process between 25 to 200 cubic meters per eight-hour shift.  Typical products produced at a type “C” licence are lumber, speciality solid wood products, by-product chips, shavings, sawdust, bark & hog fuel, etc.
