WALKER RNG INC. - Environmental Compliance Approval (waste)

This proposal is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval (waste disposal site) for the use and operation of a waste disposal site with a total site area of 3 hectares, to be used for receiving and processing up to 550 cubic metres per day of off farm anaerobic digestion materials in an anaerobic digester, with an annual maximum of 100,000 cubic metres of off farm anaerobic digestion material to be processed.

This off farm anaerobic digestion material will be co-digested with on farm generated organic material. The total amount of off farm anaerobic digestion materials stored at the site prior to digestion will not exceed 6,700 cubic metres at any time. Processes to be used include depackaging, material pre-treatment, thermal processing, anaerobic digestion, biogas to renewable natural gas upgrading and electricity production.

The waste disposal site is to service the Province of Ontario. The hours of operation are 24 hours per day, 365 days per year, unless restricted by municipal by-laws.
