This proposal is to amend Environmental Compliance Approval (waste disposal site) No. A121026, issued to Clean Harbors Canada Inc. for a non-hazardous and hazardous waste transfer facility on a site that is 4.9 hectares in area and is located in the City of Thorold.
This proposal is seeking approval to recommence operations to receive typically 200 tonnes of waste daily including oily waste waters within three double walled Frac tanks, domestic waste and containerized non-hazardous, hazardous and liquid industrial waste.
The maximum amounts of waste received daily are proposed to increase to 500 tonnes and the maximum on-site storage will remain unchanged at 752 tonnes. The hours of operation are 24 hours per day, seven days a week . The facility serves the Province of Ontario.
