This proposal is for an amendment to the Environmental Compliance Approval (sewage) no. 6840-DT5J3M for the replacement of the existing aging septic system to accommodate the increased septic flows serving approximately one-hundred and twenty-five hectare subject site comprised of one-hundred and forty-six seasonal campsites located on the AW Campbell Conservation Authority Region at 8477 Shiloh Line, in the Municipality of of Brooke-Alvinston, County of Lambton, Ontario.
The existing site is comprised of mostly open-space and contains an existing gravel access from Shiloh Line with a washroom facility, a communal pool, water reservoir, two existing septic beds, and an open field approximately 6.84 hectares in size with one-hundred and twelve seasonal campsites and thirty transient campsites. The site is operated and maintained by the St. Clair Region Conservation Authority. The south washroom facility is combined with one-hundred and twelve seasonal trailer lots, with a design flow rate of 45,400 liters per day. The proposed septic tanks will have a minimum total capacity of 90,8000 liters (two times the daily flow). The proposed septic system will be a raised absorption trench designed for a total length of 2,320 meters and an associated sand mantle area of 11,350 square meters.
