This proposal is to amend the Environmental Compliance Approval (air) No. 7645-APNP7R for Kristofoam Industries Inc., a manufacturer of polyethylene based foam dividers and packaging, located in the City of Vaughan, Ontario.

This application is for the addition of a new boiler and associated cooling tower, and the replacement of various processing equipment. The sources at the facility include cooling towers, natural gas combustion equipment, a foam bonder, and a foam hot work table.

Contaminant emissions to the atmosphere include:

  • acetic acid
  • acetophenone
  • ammonia
  • dimethyl phenyl carbinol
  • particulate matter, and
  • nitrogen oxides
