The Ontario government needs to recognize the citizens' concerns about safety relating our nuclear energy plants. The government owes to Ontarians to develop a comprehensive safety plan to address a nuclear accident, even though they view the possibility as highly unlikely. Read more

I believe Ontario needs a much better nuclear emergency plan than it has. With the amount of nuclear power plants in the province we need the peace of mind knowing that if there ever was an emergency there would be a plan that would protect us from disasters like Fukushima. Read more

We have long passed the time to act strongly on climate change issues. We need more green and renewable energy projects. We also need to stop extending operating permits on aging nuclear plants like the Pickering plant, and the insane idea of storing nuclear waste next to lakes. Read more

For most of my life I've been horrified by the devastation caused by nuclear weapons; but I believed our government had the intention to protect the public in the event of problems at nuclear reactors. Somehow I believed that Chernobyl had provided a strong example toward caution. Read more
