The Hidden Quarry will contaminate and reduce our ground water possibly as much as your refusal to enforce the laws that are supposed to stop Nestle from draining our aquifer. The residents here do not want the quarry or its myriad of problems.
Thank you for the opportunity to comment on the Ontario government’s proposal to expand the existing Greenbelt with a Bluebelt to better protect our province’s water resources. As a supporter of the Food & Water First campaign, I endorse this plan. Food and water are the necessities of life.
Please note in my comments yesterday that I included the incorrect location of our property, it is located at the “ northeast corner of Wilson and Sunnidale Road”, NOT the northwest as our comments stated. With thanks, the Wallwin family
I support the expansion of the Greenbelt into Simcoe County because I see that action is urgently needed to protect surface and groundwater, wetlands and farmland.
-Clarification is required as to how any expansion to the Greenbelt will align with the pending Provincial mapping of the Natural Heritage and Agricultural Systems.
