Bill 4 does not address the climate crisis we have on hand and seriously puts us behind in our flight to address this oncoming disaster. The public deserves to have a climate plan, one that is fair and one that the people can understand. Read more

I disagree strongly with the government’s plan to cancel the Cap and Trade program for the Province of Ontario and append below a letter shared with me that states the reasons why I object to the cancellation both compellingly and more articulately than I could ever hope to do. Read more

Scientists have repeatedly told us that drastic measures are needed to combat the disastrous effects of climate change. The present-day sacrifices the Cap and Trade legislation necessitates are nothing in comparison for the price we will pay in the long run for not protecting the environment. Read more

Please, do not allow small minded people to destroy this planet. Stop the insanity right now, before its to late. The planet is getting angry and its going to respond soon. There is a wisdom in nature and this premier's decision is not necessarily part of it. Regards

I believe that climate change is the single most important issue today. I believe that the only way to create the change we need is to legislate change and act now. The cap and trade legislation is an important part of legislating change and must be re-instated.

So, if I understand correctly, we will repeal and pay any amounts required as a result of repealing the act. There is no estimate as to what those costs will be, and no plan as to what the new objectives are and what actions will get us to those unstated objectives. Fantastic non-work Premier Ford. I am disappointed to see the repeal of this Act and the vague measures in place to replace it. Putting a price on carbon has been shown to be an effective method of reducing emissions and transitioning to a cleaner economy without negative economic impact. Read more
