Please save the White Pines Wind Project. Fossil fuels are destroying this planet and we need to divest from them into renewable sources of energy. The time is now. Please don’t cater to oil companies and their cronies. Put people and the environment first. Thanks.

I wish to say that closing the White Pines project at this time is not feasible. There are four windmills completed with the remainder of the bases completed waiting for installation of material to complete the project. Read more

Too much money has been spent to cut this project at this point, and it is too important to the province's future. We need to support alternative energy projects, not scrap them, especially after so much has been invested. Makes no sense.

Please SAVE the WHITE PINES WIND PROJECT. Fossil fuel pollution threatens to kill all humans on earth. This means that Ontario residents need projects like the White Pines Wind Project. In fact, we need more alternative energy sources. Ontario must meet this challenge. Read more

It is my opinion that the proposal to close down a near complete wind farm funded on tax payer money is a disservice to the people, and a tragedy to a greener Ontario. The White Pines wind farm MUST NOT be dismantled. Instead, the construction must be seen to completion. Read more

The Ontario government should keep the White Pines is a project to build nine wind turbines in Prince Edward County. Why would Ontario spend money to uproot and destroy clean energy capacity that’s already been built? Read more

The decision to cancel the White Pines Wind Project is wrong. Ontario needs to encourage and grow our renewable energy capacity. There is little / no evidence that wind turbines affect human health. Health Canada study link is given below. Read more

I oppose the closing of the White Pines Wind Project. The future is in sustainable energy such as wind power. It is shortsighted to cancel this project and would mean a waste of taxpayers money already and invested in wind turbines that have already been constructed. Read more

We're trying to reduce the amount of CO2 we emit. Wind turbines are a step in the right direction. Tearing down a wind-power facility already under construction is not only a step in the wrong direction, it's similar to a decision made by the previous administration - the one we voted out of office.

In order to totally remove all the infrastructure of this nearly completed project and return all lands back to their original condition, there will have to be a huge environmental impact imposed. Read more

We only have to look at California to see the true human and financial costs related to the effects of climate change. Here in Ontario, excessive amounts of water will cost taxpayers billions of dollars due to flooding resulting from a warming climate. Read more

White Pine has passed many environmental hurdles. Yet it remains opposed by a group with significant connections to the Ontario Conservative Party and their subsequent successes in the recent elections. Read more
