I think it is a great idea to shut down this project. I have been personally involved in these wind projects and all they are is a cash grab by greedy companies and they do lots of damage to the environment.

Why? Are you trying to increase the dividends on the shares for Hydro? It's green. It's cost effective. We need alternate sources all around whether it's electricity for hydro or vehicles. It's as if your concern is NOT for the people but FOR business. Read more

There is literally no reason to close down a wind farm that has already been paid for. As well, we must move towards a future of renewable energy in order to protect our environment, and cancelling green energy projects like this is not good for the future of both Ontario, and our planet.

I am writing to support the removal of the wpd project. The turbines should be dismantled ... and quickly. Then the lands that have been disturbed should be returned to their natural state ... as well as the roads that have been chewed up by wpd's construction activity. Read more

There is no need to shut this project down. Doing so will cost taxpayers money, demonstrating that the PC government does not truly have any respect for the taxpayer. Shutting down projects also feels at odds with keeping Ontario "open for business". I feel betrayed.

The IPCC says clearly that further big changes are required to mitigate damage from the changing climate climate. Shutting down a wind project takes us in the opposite direction this will cause more damage in the future. History will not be kind to people like you.

Please save the White Pines Wind Project! Once live, they would be able to provide enough clean energy to power over 3,000 homes. Clean energy is vital in combating climate change and protecting the environment as much as we can.

Why is this wind farm being shut down. Did it happen after Conservatives won power. It should stay open. Whatever impact it has on the environment cant be worse then logging trees or extracting minerals. Read more

Terminating the White Pines Wind project is a mistake. The project will provide much needed clean energy, enough to power 3000 homes, and is almost complete. Ontario, and every jurisdiction, must move to clean energy. We face climate calamity. The need to switch to green energy is urgent. Read more

With the world rightfully trending towards sustainable energy and away from fossil fuels, it does Ontario no good to be on the wrong side of this trend. We need more wind and solar farms, not less. Please reinstate this wind farm.
