As a person who is very much against the use of bottled water, I am only slightly impressed by this proposal. In fact the companies that are sucking our city and surrounding areas dry and making enormous profits from this action, should never have been allowed to do this in the first place. Read more

Nestle needs to keep their hands off our water. As British Columbia burned, Nestle extracted their quota (1 million litres a day for around $3.00) The greed of this company knows no bounds. They will suck our Ontario dry, if given the chance. Read more

we have to stop giving away water. the kitchener waterloo region has been water challenged for decades. not only does the province have to take care of the water rights of the people living there, it absolutely has to prolong the life of the farming counrty out there. Read more

Nestle is taking a community based resource for their own profit and it is theft. No to Nestle is all I have to say. What will they do when/if the water resources run low or dry? They will have their money and the resource will have been used!

Hotter summers and population growth mean that we must conserve and protect our water resources for future demands for drinking water and for agriculture. Bottled water - especially when being exported from the source - is a poor and dangerous use of a public good.
