The most important action the government must take is a permanent recognition of the Crown Forest Sustainability Act (CFSA) as an equivalent process to the Endangered Species Act (ESA); either through a permanent Section 55 Regulation.

I think that the Ontario ESA is actually quite strong in terms of legal requirements. The legal requirements (law, legislation) does not require any alterations.

I feel that we need strong protection for Species at Risk in Ontario, which means a prioritization on conserving species at risk and the habitats they depend on through improved implementation of the Endangered Species Act in its current form.

I am strongly opposed to changing the Endangered Species Act to make it more business-friendly.
The goal of this act is to protect the biosphere of our province, and this should not be sacrificed in the name of profit.
I agree with the CWF blog dated March 1/2019.
Endangered species need to be protected sooner, not later.
We cannot allow even one to become extinct.
Please streamline the process of protecting our precious wildlife.
Before another is gone forever.

The Ontario government should continue to have a regulatory role with respect to the protection of species at risk. Maintaining species and habitat protection for SAR is critical to their protection and recovery.
