Extremely worried that this bill will negatively impact what is left for of any green space in the region. Corporate greed cannot be made more important than clean water and clean air. We need strong protection for our lakesand forests so we can continue to have good ecological health.

This is NOT a good idea... The Provincial Government NEVER included this(the deliberate gutting of environmental protections for PROFIT) in their Election platform... they would NOT have managed to get elected.. Just because you can....doesn't mean you should.... Shame, Shame, Shame...

The green belt and legislations on environmental protections are there to make sure we have a province in the future. I know this government is not really caring what the little folk say, but by passing this bill you are destroying tourism in many places. Read more

A balance must be found between economic development and the environment. If this bill is passed it will cause a negative effect on the ecosystems that we rely on for not only the recreational activities that bring our city life, but it threatens human health.

If Bill 66 is passed, industry will be able to bypass drinking water source protections under the Clean Water Act. This change would weaken critical protections passed in response to the Walkerton tragedy, in which contaminated drinking water killed seven people and made thousands of people ill. Read more

I do not support this bill which will bypass current legislation that is there to protect our environment. From this governments performance to date I absolutely do not trust it with Ontario’s environment. I think it has business interests ONLY in mind.

There is nothing out of date about these regulations. They were passed after long and serious consultation with EXPERTS in order to preserve farmland, water, and the future of Ontario. Putting "business" ahead of the environment is the attitude that is inefficient and out of date. Read more
