I do not support Bill-66. Protection for the Greenbelt was promised by Ford's Government in the 2018 campaign. However, Bill-66 could enable development in these protected lands. Protected land is few and far between within the GTA. Read more

We cannot put money or job creation above public health. Our community relies on our natural environment and systems for generations to come. We cannot jeopardize this foundational aspect to our livelihood to benefit companies in the short term. Read more

I am disgusted that the provincial government is working to undermine important regulations that protect the environment and human lives with this bill. Many of these regulations were put into place because lives were lost or threatened. I do not consider that to be "unnecessary red tape". Read more

This proposed legislation scares me. Over the last while, nothing being done by this government seem at all "for the people". My employment is now more at risk than it was before, and as a sole support parent, I have never been more afraid for my and my sons future than I am now. Read more

I oppose this bill. We need to strengthen environmental protections not weaken them! There are plenty of places to build and to build in smarter ways then to degrade environmentally sensitive areas. The Ontario government owes it to the people to protect the environment

Regulations around the numbers of children in home daycares were made to protect children. What kind of idiocy proposes *increasing* that number? Come on. This change will endanger vulnerable children, particularly the poor who can't afford safer options.

Environmental protections are necessary and need to be considered before developing. We have many sensitive species and habitats that need to be protected. If these areas are not protected then we are endangering the functioning of our environment and putting people's health at risk. Read more

It seems that this act is geared less towards the people of Ontario, and more to the corporations. Removing the protections given to workers and trying to "streamline" work, which means attempting to use technology over humans does not make Ontario more competitive. Read more

This bill is horrifying, not only in its sweeping powers over several complex issues, but in the fact that the so-called red tape is there to PROTECT workers, municipalities, environments. It protects all those “ little guys” Mr. Ford promised to look out for. Shame.

A clean and prosperous environment is more important than ever expanding subdivisions and box stores! On human rights day, I support INCREASING environmental protections and regulations as a clean environment should be a recognized human right. Do not limit environmental protections.

These environmental regulations were put in for a reason - to protect the environment. With increased degradation of the environment and more and more species ending up on the endangered species list I do not see how suggesting we should weaken environmental regulations are a good idea. Read more
