The amendments to the Growth Plan are not good for Ontario. The majority of the municipalities in the Greater Golden Horseshoe have enough unused land within the built-up boundaries to supply housing and commercial land for the next 10 years. Read more

I believe that the Ontario government is bowing to the pressure of sprawl developers again. It appears that Premier Doug Ford is proposing opening up sensitive farmland, forests and watersheds to sprawl development by changing the Growth Plan. Read more

No matter what the objective is of this proposal we must keep in mind that transportation hubs connect people to work places. Currently our roads are severly congested and planning that allows for walk ability access to rapid transit should trump zoning that has minor industrial consequence. Read more
