As an Ontarian I want my children and their children to live in an Ontario where wild animals have a habitat and we don't sell endangered species' habitat to developers as long as they pay an additional price. Our laws and our forests shouldn't be for sale

I do not support the changes, specifically around the changes increasing the length if time a species must be added to the list (3 months to 12 months), and around considering the distribution of the species and not adding it to the lsit of it exists outside of the province.

Our animals are one of the most important things we have in this world. We need them and what they bring to the table, trashing the endangered species act which we’ve worked so hard to protect would be a waste of all our previous efforts, not to mention on of the biggest mistakes we will regret. The proposed changes to the ESA are irresponsible, and irreparable. Just because a species is rare in Ontario because it is at it's northern limit or is found elsewhere does not justify removing protection. Don't be so stupid and shortsighted. Read more

I vehemently oppose the move to reduce any protection of endangered species. You have a province full of outdoorsmen, why would this even be put on the table? I did not vote for this, I do not respect this decision. Read more
