Nestle makes bottles, not water! Plastic bottles are bad for the environment bc they end up as litter and trash that won't biodegrade. Water is life, people should not be charged to access water. For the sake of the planet, future generations, and our own health, Nestle must be stopped.

I support this proposal and think it's a step in the right direction. Ontario needs to take strong actions to protect our environment and resources, including groundwater sources. We need to fully understand the implications before proceeding.

DO NOT issue any new Permits to Take Water to any commercial water bottlers - it is a threat to our valuable watershed. Bottling companies manufacture in single use plastics, which is one of the great contributors of non-recycled waste and polluted waters. Read more

It is imperative that our government act in the best interests of the public they serve. Protecting our natural resources, especially our water, should be one of our governments highest priorities. Giving corporations easy access to precious resources should be illegal. Read more

The moratorium on bottled water permits must be extended and furthermore, a decision must be made to NOT allow anymore bottled water permits. Our Ontario Water is not for sale. We have to be responsible to think of the generations to come. Read more
