Do not bring in the proposed amendments as it is turning the clock back threatening habitat and endangered species. Ontario’s forests are not a free for all. Crown land is where it is expected every species of flora and fauna is protected. Read more

Why was this legislation introduced on the Friday before Christmas? The proposed legislation weakens the already weak to non-existent protection for endangered species in Ontario. I believe it should be withdrawn or severely amended to provide adequate protection for endangered species.

As I watch the great changes in the number and species of birds that used to show up every year in my backyard, I am deeply concerned for these proposed changes. Instead of going backwards we need to make changes to what species are missing on the list from 1994. Read more

It concerns me that the duplicative authorization is being removed. This is in place so that businesses and the government dont have full authority. We know this is putting, essentially, a loophole so that forestry businesses and the government can just go ahead and do what they want. Read more

The CFSA already provides landscape, stand, and site-level direction for managing, conserving, and protecting species at risk. Having two acts attempting to accomplish the same outcome represents the single greatest piece of red tape and duplication to this sector. Read more

I am writing to you today to express overwhelming support for proposal ERO# 019-1020. Given that the current regulation under the ESA expires this year, I ask that this proposal be approved and finalized as soon as possible. There can be no further delay on this item.
