As a global citizen who also cares deeply about the state of wildlife preservation and a thriving natural environment in this province and country, I am strongly opposed to this government's proposal to the Crown Sustainability Act.
Not only does this proposal place further species in danger, I question what involvement Indigenous Peoples have had in the proposal. Has consultation over Crown land been addressed as required by the Truth and Reconciliation Report? I find it highly unlikely as the First Nations people that I know would not be supportive of such a notion as not to protect our wildlife and the balance of nature.
Shame on this government for it's handling thus far.
