I’m concerned about the proposed extension of Site Specific Standards regarding ArcelorMittal Dofasco. I am concerned that the public input deadline is too close to the expiry of current site specific standards (SSSs), especially for Suspended Particulate Matter.

The publics heath needs to be put before industry. They will of course always ask to have a more easily achievable standard but the public expects the government to enforce these standards.
I am providing comment on proposal to extend the expiry dates of the existing site-specific standards for suspended particulate matter, manganese and manganese compounds to June 30, 2023 for ArcelorMittal Dofasco.
