Restricting conservation authorities' abilities to protect the environment will be disastrous . Much of the development pressure we see today is occurring within the Carolinian woodlands region: the most biodiverse ecozone occupied by Canada. Read more

I do not support this proposal because protecting our environment should be the top of our priorities right now. We only get 1 earth. Developing environmentally protected lands is dangerous.

It seems that the role would be shifting to the municipalities which do not have the staff to support their reviews that Conservation Authorities perform, such as water resources engineering, watershed monitoring, environmental planning and regulatory compliance. Read more

I've been a civil engineer in Ontario for almost 20 years (working mostly with developers), and these changes to Conservation Authorities (CAs) are a terrible idea. Read more

As a landowner I agree with these changes as the CA that covers us is dishonest and causes huge delays and buffers around PSWs that are not PSWs and they charge huge fees. My neighbour paid 2000$ for an above ground pool as conservation said his backyard was next to a wetland. Read more

I support these changes because the changes are providing a solid foundation to address Ontario’s housing supply crisis over the long term and will be supplemented by continued action in the future.

The changes you have proposed to Bill 23 are not required and will jeopardize the integrity of the landscape, without doing much to address the housing issues. Density works and is cheaper. No more sprawl ! I am a taxpayer and voter and am strongly opposed to these changes !

I am deeply concerned about the proposed changes outlined in Bill 23. Our conservation authorities do a crucial job of protecting the natural environment, and their mandate goes FAR beyond protecting Ontario's citizens from natural disasters. Read more

I know that this is about building homes and that farm businesses are an unintended beneficiary of bill 23 changes to the conservation authorities. But do not back down on these changes. We beg you!!!!! Read more

This is something you should never even consider. We all need more green space even if it's just for our mental health. Taking away the conservation authority's ability to protect it's citizens as well as the ecosystem and protection of natural areas for wildlife is essential. Read more
