Please. You know that coal is dangerous and is destroying our health and planet. How much money is enough for you? 1 billion? 2 billion? Do you even care that your children will not be able to play outside? Have potable water? Can breathe the air?

Increasingly we are aware of the essential importance of Old Growth Forest; the Boreal Forest.
We CANNOT cut.
If we need wood we need to create new plantations.
Cutting down trees must stop and reforestation must begin immediately. Trees are the lungs of the globe and if we don't protect and replenish them we and our world will not survive.
As a concerned citizen, I ask you, the Ontario government, to stop the expansion of the forest biomass industry. Burning wood pellets for electricity is not a climate solution.

Cutting down the boreal forests which help regulate our climate naturally will NOT help the climate crisis we find ourselves in. I urge you to make decisions based on facts and science vs. Money and greed.
This Forest Biomass Plan is not a solution. Instead it adds to the problem.
One of the main products of Ontario’s forest biomass industry is wood pellets. Wood pellets are marketed as a clean energy alternative, but in reality wood pellets are dirtier than coal at the smokestack.

This proposal is in many ways just as dirty as using coal. How about more renewables such as wind and solar, that do not put more pollutants into our air.
