You need to stop the wood pellet industry NOW! It is not a climate change solution. It is contributing to the carbon problem. We need clean energy sources not replacement dirty energy sources!
Ontario has enough space for wind and solar power than cutting down the forests to produce electricity.they also had enough water to drive water powered turbines.
I can't imagine that burning wood pellets to produce electricity is a climate friendly alternative to fossil fuels. Just as coal, wood is a very dirty fuel and has an enormous carbon footprint at the smokestack.
Let's find true alternative productions of electricity.

Take a step back and look at this. How is cutting down trees and burning them going to help reduce the amount of CO2 pollution being dumped into our atmosphere? Even if it’s only waste wood, it should be returned to the soil where it can do some good.
Please do not expand the use of biomass use for the wood pellet industry. We absolutely should not be enhancing a “solution” that is NOT protective of the environment.

I feel that it's a very bad idea to push biomass as a means to replace fossil fuels. Per se, it cannot be considered as renewable energy as some mature trees are included in the mix and the burning of pellets is generating fumes worst than coal at the smokestack.

The wood pellet industry is even worse for the environment than coal. You can't market it as a "clean energy", that is simply a lie. Burning wood pellets is not clean, and continuing or increasing deforestation is the exact opposite of what we need to be doing for the climate.

STOP this SENSELESS WASTE OF OUR BOREAL FOREST!!! Burning trees to produce electricity is NOT ACCEPTABLE. We need to SAVE our boreal forest, NOT DESTROY it!!
Burning wood pellets for heat and other energy is filthy dirty and extremely unhealthy. Please save these trees as air and water filtering living habitat.
Please find better advisors who are not in the pocket of industries that want to make money from our natural resources.
Biomass can be a useful byproduct of Forestry, but this Draft Action Plan describes a misguided policy, and it should be abandoned. Any burning of biomass for heat or energy (CHP) adds to our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and should be prohibited.

Do not be duped into expanding wood pellet energy plants…it’s a colossal climate change fail. It is a dirty little secret that it’s causing more deforestation using raw logs (not just “rescuing” wood waste) and is not the clean energy solution Ontario or anywhere in Canada needs. Just say NO.
Give your heads a good hard shake. One of the main products of Ontario’s forest biomass industry is wood pellets. Wood pellets are marketed as a clean energy alternative, but we already know that wood pellets are dirtier than coal at the smokestack!
