Wildlife should never be taken from their natural environments and held captive by hunters. It’s especially cruel to use rabbits, coyotes, and foxes as pawns for hunters to train dogs and hold competitions. I am extremely opposed to overturning a law that has been in place for 25 years. Read more

I am very angry and upset that you are using wildlife to train dogs, don’t you have any feeling for animals, clearly not this should be stopped surely there are other ways to train dogs. It’s very heartless and barbaric you should be ashamed of yourselves.

This is a disgusting and cruel practice. Approving any bill to allow or expand it is a step backward for decency and progress, and above all an act of cowardice. No one with a conscience would vote in favor of this type of bill, or support this type of practice.

This is a disgusting proposal to have animals trapped and hunted for training. There are training methods that do not involve animal cruelty. This is a shameful and am embarrassment to Canada.

I find the concept of these proposals to be at odds with the notion of what a civilised society looks like. In this day and age an increase of these trial areas should not even be a question. Read more

Please don't hurt these beautiful coyotes, rabbits, and other creatures. As humans, we need to respect them as well. Please do the right thing and stop these innocent animals from enduring immense stress and immense pain. They need your help. Please help them! Thank you.

The Ministry must not allow the cruel practice of pursuit of captive wildlife for the evil entertainment of a few individuals of limited insight. This is not an acceptable “ sport” and results in terror and the death of these poor captive animals. Read more

Wow, I didn't even know these facilities existed let alone a plan to expand them. This practice is disgusting. It's 2023 for crying out loud!!! What makes the life of a sporting dog more important than the lives of other animals? Read more

Using captive wildlife to be used as bait. That statement in and of itself is immensely cruel. i would expect my government to be working to abolish such a cruel and inhumane act as opposed to encouraging it. Please stop this.

Hunting with dogs in a penned area is disgusting and barbaric. Such cruelty summons pictures of Roman gladiatorial cruelty. All animals deserve a chance to at least die without being torn apart. Stop this cruel behaviour in the name of "hunting". Read more
