I think it's unbelievable at this point in time that you are using innocent animals, actually putting in cages animals that belong in the wild to train hunting dogs? And are you kidding, foxes? rabbits? Really, what is their terrifying threat to humans? Read more

I wholeheartedly disagree with this proposal. This practice is inhumane. Imagine if the situation was one where your little pet (if you have one) was hunted down and killed for fun. There is no need for this practice and it is ethically wrong. Read more

I’ve just found out about this disturbing proposal this evening, which would cause undo harm to animals used for dog training. It’s simply inhumane, destructive and unconscionable. Please vote against this proposal.

What in every single heck is wrong with you all? This is absolutely obscene, inhumane, backwards thinking, and something nobody asked for or wants it—just for once can our so called leaders try to act like a government working for the people unfortunate enough to live under you?

This is a barbaric practice. It is inhumane to kill wild animals this way and you are putting other animals and people at risk. What if one of these ‘hunting’ dogs attacks another domesticated animal or a child because they have been allowed to kill harmless animals? Read more

I do not support this. This is animal cruelty and Ontario should never stand for this or be associated with it. Why protect the loon and Canadian geese but not other wildlife? Where is the line drawn? Do not pass this proposal.

This is a disgusting and inhumane practice. All for an utterly unnecessary and cruel sport. Neither the wildlife used nor the dogs trained are treated decently. Do not legitimize this with a license

I, along with many other Ontarians, am appalled at the proposed amendments. Subjecting wild animals to a life of drawn out terror, anxiety, and ultimately a horrific death, with no way to defend themselves, in the name of sport is unjustifiable. Read more

The current proposed amendment is barbaric. Wildlife don't deserved to be treated with such little regard to their pain and suffering, This amendment makes Ontario look like a backwards embarrassment on the world stage.

Crazy to thing we still allow this in Ontario. Stop using wildlife to train hunting dogs. You know it cruel for the wildlife. Trainers can train hunting dogs without using wildlife. Jeez you can train a goldfish…
