I am writing to state how shocked and appalled I am at this amendment proposal. The unwarranted suffering and cruelty to animals this would allow cannot be justified, particularly to revive a practice deemed inhumane and cruel nearly 30 years ago. Read more

I do not know who thought this was a good idea. It is cruel and inhumane. Urban sprawl is taking habitat away from wildlife and this government wants to allow hunters to cage caught wildlife? Obscene.

This is very bad … hunting should only be done to manage populations of certain species , but letting dogs train to kill them for no purpose ? I think this very sad let the coyotes live

This amendment is horrible. It is unnecessary and the basic training for these dogs can be completed without the use of trapped wildlife. The previous law allowed to phase out these practices. Which is something that should be continued. Read more

This is a completely unnecessary proposal. There is no need to have these areas to train hunting dogs making defenceless animals terrified for their short lives. It is disgusting and inhumane to treat animals in this way. Read more

This proposed change will only perpetuate the inhumane treatment of wildlife for the purpose of spot. These practices are archaic and unnecessary. The only changes that should be made to this law is abolishment.

I find it abhorrent that the potential for new Train and Trial is even under review. If we are judged by how we treat our most innocent then what is this saying about us. This is shameful.

Activities like this are barbaric. Passing a law like this is archaic. What have we become? We not human. We're INhuman. We're inhumane. Just when I thought the human race could not possibly get more cruel and self-serving, we DO! How much more sick and depraved can we possibly get? Read more

I had no idea this was done at all. The idea of penning wildlife for the fun of having dogs rip them to bits for hobby hunters sounds cruel and disgusting. I thought this sort of thing was only for English aristocracy, and they’re hardly an example to other either in behaviour or resource usage.

I am opposed to this inhumane and barbaric treatment of our wildlife, who make our country/province so beautiful. These practices lead to pain and suffering of animals represent a regression in society.
