This is a good proposal as it is very difficult to find availability at local training pens. This will hopefully increase the number of training areas, making it easier to train and exercise our hunting dogs.

I think it is a great Idea. It is getting hard to run hounds on the outside but buy haveing pens it still allows me to still do what I love and would love for my son to take over my kennel when he’s old enough thank tou

I fully support the proposed changes would create a one-time 90-day application period for licences to establish new training and trialing areas, and to allow for existing licences to be transferrable.

Thank you for having these training and trial areas for us who traditionally use dogs to help us hunt. It is very important. I am asking that you do not close the possibility of new areas for the future.

I support this revision to allow for issuance of licences for new dog train and trial areas and transfer of licences. Humans have used dogs to hunt thousands of years. Having more train and trial areas is a benefit to hunters, their dogs and the communities in which they hunt in.

The opportunity for new ownership transfer of training facilities is outstanding news! Running hounds in training pens has become a great family bonding experience with my children and I. Read more

As a young hunter and dog trainer I found it very difficult finding areas to train my duck hunting dog. There are a few groups in southern Ontario where I was able to find help and land to train with live birds but we need more access. Read more

Allowing this proposal to be passed would be beneficial in many ways. It will allow houndsman to run in specified areas, which will decrease any chances of dogs on properties of others.
