A new Environmental Compliance Approval was issued to Tabitha and Donald MacDow for sewage works. The approval is to construct sewage works to serve up to 175 persons .

The sewage works comprises of a septic tank, pump chamber and subsurface disposal bed and associated appurtenances to serve the barn which is used as a wedding venue catering up to 175 persons.

The concern was not related to the proposed sewage works itself , but with various other planning issues and local municipal by-law related alleged breaches etc.

1. Prepare your application

Proposal details

This proposal is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval for the establishment of seasonal subsurface sewage disposal works, rated at 6,300 litres per day, to service a wedding venue located at 16847 Heart Lake Road in the Town of Caledon.

The proposed works include:

  • a septic tank with a minimum 18,000 litre working capacity
  • pump chamber with a minimum 13,500 litre working capacity
  • submersible effluent pump
  • subsurface disposal bed with 540 metres of distribution pipe (18 runs each 30 metres in length)
  • all other controls, electrical equipment, instrumentation, piping, valves, and appurtenances essential for the proper operation of the sewage works
