A proper environmental assessment must be done for new transportation corridors. Ontario is losing about 300 acres of farmland a day. Ontario must protect wetlands, species at risk, and animal corridors, especially asmore animal habitats are being removed through construction projects.

We don't need more useless highways; multiple studies have proven they DO NOT save time and indeed simply lead to more traffic/congestion. We particularly do not need the useless Bradford bypass which will only destroy a vast swath of protected Greenbelt areas! Read more

Major projects like multi-lane highways/roads, high voltage electricity transmission lines MUST be subject to comprehensive (individual) environmental assessments. The proposal to not require them to be subject to this vs. a streamlined process is unjustified and unacceptable. Read more

ERO #019-4219 proposes that transportation, including highway and rail “of any length”, and electricity transmissions be moved to a “streamlined EA process”, known as Class Environmental Assessments (Class EAs). Read more

The Bradford Bypass is not a necessary bypass. Studies have proven over and over again that this bypass is not necessary. The Environmental Assessment that was last done is TWO decades old. So much has changed since then. Read more
