This would then require any heritage requests to go through objective staff members, and not Commitees that are often controlled by NIMBY special interest groups.
I oppose this proposal as I do not believe the provincial government should be making these decisions. Local official plans and zoning are the responsibility of the municipality and should remain so. They are best suited for this.
