I live in the Stouffville area. Transit is almost non-existent. You can go from 9th and Main to the Markham-Stouffville Hospital ion York Transit. You can go from Stouffville GO Station to Toronto via bus, train or bus/train depending on the time. Read more

Doug Ford stated he would not touch the Greenbelt. The developers received advanced notice. Niagara 's official plan did not call for urban boundary expansion in Grimsby. He lied. A lot of conservative voters are disgusted. There was no platform for this action.

I am absolutely heartbroken about his plan to build on the greenbelt. This will NOT help the housing crisis at all. If Doug Ford thinks he will be getting re-elected he is in for a wake up call. I am totally against this! Absolutely disgusting. Do NOT go ahead with this plan. Read more

Keep the greenbelt untouched. Government constantly cries about global warming but then destroy environments like this.... it's shameful and absolutely hypocritical! Stop cutting down swaths of land and spraying everything with chemicals! Do more to protect the GreenBelt, not destroy it! Read more

We should not set the dangerous precedent of authorizing green belt land for development to accomplish such a small portion (about 3%) of the overall housing goal (1.5M new homes by 2030). Our focus should be on first exhausting all other avenues for new home development.

While I recognize the importance of more housing, paving over more of our shrinking greenspace, especially the 'green belt', which is essential to what is left of the GTA's ecosystem, is shortsighted and lazy. I'm sure areas of already developed land (say, most of Etobicoke... Read more

I am a residence of Richmond Hill living south of the greenbelt. I am alarmed by the new land near the town of Erin to be added to the greenbelt protection area, which is north of the greenbelt, away from urban area. This not land valued by developers. Read more
