Premier Ford promised not to touch the greenbelt & we demand he be held accountable to that! It is unacceptable to take land away from the greenbelt & I speak not only for myself but my two young children who at the ages of 3 & 4 know that once precious land is carved up it is gone forever. The greenbelt is protected for a reason and needs to remain that way. We are already experiencing a ridiculous climate crisis and any change to the greenbelt will only make it worse. The transparent greed and selfishness on display with this proposal is astounding. Read more

There is more than enough land to build more homes. Leave the Greenbelt alone! This whole fiasco seems like a corrupt backroom deal between the Ford government and donor businessmen! Keep you word and keep your hands off our Greenbelt.

If Ontario is projected to grow in population this much, would it not be wise to save what little we have left of good agricultural land? Should we not be protecting the green belt for the future of these people who will be in Ontario? Read more

The greenbelt is vital for the health of our cities and peoples. It is appalling and suspicious that the premiere's friends have bought up significant amounts of the land in question just as the premiere goes back on his promise not to touch the greenbelt.

I do not support the proposed amendments to the Greenbelt area regulation as the government has made easily accessible to the public the process of selection and the selection criteria used to identify the proposed areas of the greenbelt and other protected areas that will be removed from their prot Read more

The proposed removal of thousands of acres from the Greenbelt under the guise of building more homes is a completely questionable act. It favors the special interests of a few large developers, seemingly who have political ties to the Premier. Read more
