Do not under any circumstances mess with our agricultural land. There is no need for housing development on agricultural land. What use is more housing if people can’t eat. Seriously 😏 BACK OFF!

my concern is the subdivisions that are already being built around the small rural hamlets , the infrastructure is not capable of handling the commute to cities for employment as it is . Read more

ERO number 019-6813 - Review of proposed policies adapted from A Place to Grow and Provincial Policy Statement to form a new provincial planning policy instrument. Thank you for removing the changes which would have allowed lot severances on prime agricultural land. Read more

SUPPORT for the Proposed Planning Statement (section 4.3) We are owners of a small 50 acre farm in the Oro portion of Oro-Medonte Township and were happy about the original Proposed Planning Statement that provided the opportunity for us to potentially sever off three lots (section 4.3). Read more

Countryside Line has been a hard boundary that protects Waterloo Region’s groundwater, farmland, and natural areas for generations to come. Development here will not help create more housing, nor will it help with affordability. Read more

I am fully supportive of government action to accelerate the construction of more housing, particularly more affordable housing. But I am fully opposed to any development beyond existing urban boundaries. Read more

Mt Ford, Please continue to move through the ability for farmers to sever three lots off their land. This is a good policy and must be passed. It is one of the ways that will allow farms to continue to exist. My family and friends support this policy.

I believe this Bill is acting in a short sighted manner and is unable to alleviate the cost of living significantly relative to the harm this will do to the environmental and farming requirements our province needs. Read more

More Suburban Sprawl is not the answer. Destroying farmland is not the answer. Destroying green space is not the answer. We need more medium density housing. We need to take back the unused and underused housing already built. Read more

Still waiting on the Natural Heritage section to be completed in early June. Clearly this was not a priority for this government, as it seems the updated PPS is being rushed through. Read more

I completely disagree with this bill. Farmland should be protected! We cannot afford to be short sighted, protecting viable farmland should trump development. The proposed development will not help relieve the housing crisis. As a long time renter, this will not enable me to afford a new build. Read more

I wish to express my objection to making ANY changes to the existing Provincial Policy Statement. The current statement was developed with very carefully researched and developed policy that put the protection of people and the environment a top priority. Read more

Considering that the economy is in shambles along with the environment, jeopardizing our natural resources and food security for facilitating the interests of landowners and developers doesn't seem like a sensible policy direction.

I am strongly against this bill as Canada is facing food insecurity and out of control food price increases. There is also a lack of transparency and conflict of interest when this bill was introduced. There is plenty of other solutions that can be employed to address the housing situation.
