Proposal details

Universal Sand and Gravel Limited seeks to authorize the importation of 8,500,000 cubic metres of excess soil to allow for cohesive rehabilitation with the proposed fill-to-grade-details, to backfill the site to an elevation of 484 to 500 masl, and to extract aggregate material from the excess soil for blending and resale.

Public consultation opportunities

The proposed request for this licence is being circulated within the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry. Additionally, notification of this application has been forwarded to the Township of East Garafraxa, Dufferin County, Ministry of Environment Conservation and Parks, Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, and any landowners within 120 metres of the licenced boundary, for comment.
