I do not support this development. A landfill this close to the town of Dresden will cause property values to plummet, with no benefit to the local community. 24/7 operation means truck traffic will increase substantially on local roadways creating excess noise and disruption. Read more

As a resident of Dresden, I can't begin to express how awful this proposal is for our vibrant, small community. To consider putting an area for waste disposal so close to the edge of town is absolutely ridiculous. Read more

What about the smell of waste, the rats, mice, the ongoing traffic of semi trucks??? What do you think this will do to the housing market in Dresden ? And the 12 homes that surround this new landfill ? Since it’s all about Chatham Kent , how about we put the landfill outside of Chatham ? Read more

I am devastated to think I will be living 1 mile from a provincial dump, I came to Dresden 20 years to escape the filth of Toronto. As did many others over the years. The last thing I expected was to be subjected to the raunchy smells and pollution of a stinking dump 1 mile away from my home. Read more

Too close to town. Dumps don't make good neighbours. No one want to see 21 hwy a.k.a. dresdens main street, get turned into a main artery for a 24/7 disturbance of loud, stinky diesel garbage trucks.

Do not build this in Dresden. We already have to smell the tomato’s each fall we don’t need to smell garbage every single day.

This disposal site is a horrible idea and proposition for the town of Dresden. Residents of Dresden should be consulted before anything moves forward. Would you want to have a garbage dump pretty much in your backyard? Read more

Hello, we are opposed to this proposed landfill as it is way too close to residential areas! It is just outside the town of Dresden! Any windy day and the neighborhood will be smelling the dump in all directions! Read more

This is a small town with so much charm. Having a busy stinking dump right outside of town will destroy this gem of not only Chatham-Kent but of Ontario. This community has worked tirelessly to put Dresden on the map and make it a very desirable place to live, raise a family and visit. Read more

How can you put a dump next to a small town without killing the town? You can use country fields that are clay loam and can’t grow excellent crops. There are much better locations than the town of Dresden. Are there no rules as to distance from town line? Read more

I live near the community of Dresden Ont , the site of a new landfill. We are learning of this mostly from the internet. It would have helped to have an information meeting with the community. There are many rumors and concerns within Dresden.
