As a mother to a 9 month old boy, I dream of him growing up in Dresden the same way I was privileged too. This will not be a possibility if York1 opens their dump. Read more

The people of Dresden and the farmers, farmland, animals, species, all deserve to have this stopped. Too many great things in Dresden and area to have this landfill take this away. A beautiful town with much to offer.

If the town says NO, it's NO. Leave our peaceful town alone. Chatham-kent should have last say. Tired of big corporations descending on the little people. Do the right thing!!!!!!

I have not resided in this community for as long as some I am surer. I have loved every minute of my time in the small communities that make up Chatham Kent. This just seems like a bad idea and disrespectful to the proud and hard working people that live here. Read more

This issue is absolutely terrible for the town of Dresden, we were just about to purchased a home in Dresden and feel this will delay our purchase. Dresden is just such a lovely friendly town it would be terrible if this garbage dump where to move in under such a sneaky and underhanded way. Read more

As a nearby resident of the project, I have a keen interest and concern for the projects environmental impact now and into the future. Protection of local watershed demands a comprehensive environmental assessment of the project.

Stop the dump in Dresden. This is a small rural community, the impact to environment, roads, water supply , air quality will be devastating. Traffic in and out 24 hours a day, 7 days a week??? Do not let this happen.

I have lived in Chatham/Kent all of my 69 years. I own 30 acres and my home near Blenheim. I have no problem with a proposed landfill in the Dresden area.

I OPPOSE the Dresden Ontario landfill site. This is a beautiful little town and a landfill site just outside the town is an environmental hazard to the Watershed and the property values of Dresden. Read more

If Toronto needs a landfill it should be close to their own municipality or located within its boundaries. This would cut down on the unneeded pollution and environmental damage from all the truck traffic transferring the garbage. Read more

I find it very irresponsible to even consider york 1's proposal for this project. Not only, has this been used only for ash from dresdens incenerator years ago (pre 1980), it by all means does not allow for expansion none the less a whole different gamut of debris (ex. Read more

GTA garbage belongs in the GTA. Chatham Kent shouldn't be the dumpster for the GTA. Typical of Canada's (Ontario's) government - pandering to the city at the expense of rural areas. Keep your own garbage - build a state of the art incinerator.

It is very concerning that York 1s proposed landfill is less than 0.5km from our town, when it is known 3.5km or more is required for public safety. This entire dump will be less than the safety requirements for the length of our entire town. Read more

I would like to make a statement concerning the York1 trying to establish a dump near Dresden. I am against this company coming into a small community with materials that may damage wildlife, water wells, noise, smell and the peacefulness of Dresdens small community. Read more
