In this proposed ERO there is a section on protecting farmland and an agricultural system approach. You have meetings with OFA who support this protection of farmland however OFA does not support the greatest number of their members for land protection as was evident at the AGM in the fall. My comments relate to the provision of multi-lot residential development on rural lands . Section 2.6.1 There are instances where rural lands have existing adjacent municipal water and sewerage services with sufficient capacity to support multi-lot residential on the adjacent rural lands. Regarding the following, given the recent changes to Federal policies, the Ministry forecasts may already be outdated. Given the outflow of population from Ontario the forecasts may be very wrong. Forecasts are just that and can be wrong on either the high or the low side. Read more

I oppose the increase in settlement boundaries. It is vital that wetlands, farming fields and environmentally sensitive areas be saved. It. Is better to increase urban density( 4 plexus for housing) where there is already infrastructure such as public transit, and amemties.
